Church is not a production or a provided service; it is a place we learn to serve one another as a rehearsal for how we serve neighbors and perhaps even enemies.
There are many different parts to a Sunday gathering — technical, childcare, hospitality, clean up, music, etc. — and for a community to be sustainable, we have to practice bearing each other’s burdens, even the light ones.
