David Park, Lead Pastor

Kristen Hines, Worship Director

I was born in Kingston, Jamaica. My family and I moved to America when I was 8 years old, specifically to an apartment in Riverdale, GA. We all had a bit of culture shock wearing long johns in August, but as a kid I started to melt into American culture fairly quickly and easily. I’ve been an athlete since the womb essentially. I’m an only child and my Dad and just about every one of my first, second, third, fifth cousins played soccer so naturally I played soccer and have been in a soccer culture since my baby feet could stumble down a soccer field. I started playing guitar when I was 13 and it was love at first strum. I got plugged into contemporary worship teams in middle school and was taken under the wing of older worship leaders and team members until I was leading worship alongside them and in their stead after they left those ministries I met them in. Now music and worship is in just about every fiber of my being. I write songs as often as they come to me. I sing in the shower, in the car, and on stages that will have me. And I have a passion for a worship and justice movement like we’ve never seen before.

What makes you laugh? Laugh out loud? I would have to say perfectly timed sarcasm. And to my shame…when people trip and fall (without injury). I just can’t help it.

Morning or night person?  I like to get things done in the morning and be productive, but I like to party like it’s 1999 in the night. Not sure what to call that.

Favorite food: Pizza(cold or warm)

Favorite movie: Milo and Otis (the adventures of a curious cat and a pug-nosed pup)

Favorite TV show: Friends

Tommy Yi, Youth Director

Allison Higgins, Children’s Director

I was born and raised in Georgia in a town where the motto is “small town big difference”…small town is an understatement. A couple things I am known for is improvising, If I don’t have the exact item needed I will find something that will work just the same, and also for my bubbly demeanor I used to be called “smiley.”  I am passionate about everyone coming into their full identity in who the Lord has made them to be. I am also very passionate about community and it is something I value deeply. When I am not working you can find me on the soccer field (it has been my second home since I was 4), hiking (I am on top of the world at least for a moment), skydiving (call me a thrill seeker), in some other part of the world (it’s beautiful out there), or in my wood shop creating beautiful signs.

What makes you laugh? I giggle a lot but deep laughs come from watching impractical jokers.

Morning or night person? I am neither a morning nor night person. I am a midday person.

Favorite food: Chips, salmon, shrimp, bacon, and CHEESE

Favorite movies: Bridesmaids, Gladiator, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, of course Frozen, A Walk to Remember, and 27 Dresses (people have told me I am Katherine Heigl)

Favorite TV  show: Scandal, Impractical Jokers, The Voice, and So You Think You Can Dance (love dancing shows)

I am a born and bred east Tennessean with a somewhat-unhealthy obsession with all things Dollywood. I’ve been married to Tim for 5 years and we have two adorable daughters: Emerson is 3 and Piper is 7 months. I love the Tennessee Volunteers, hitting the gym, traveling, power naps, and Christmastime. I grew up with my dad in full-time ministry and somehow managed to marry a youth pastor–not intentional but God-ordained without a doubt! I have a passion for the local church and it makes me so happy to see people find authentic, transparent community in the Body of Christ.
